Pipers third hand
If you tune your bagpipes only by ear, you may find this tip useful. A small gizmo, called "pipers third hand", is made for this particular operation. It is, in all simplicity, a small piece of plastic used to cover the b,c and d holes thus making it possible to sound low a by the use of the top hand only.
